About Us

I’m a writer, educator, and literacy specialist passionate about the well-being and mental health of children and young people. I believe creativity and stories are powerful tools for fostering empathy, resilience, and emotional expression, while also nurturing a sense of contentment and fulfillment.

I have been writing stories and reading—every chance I get—my whole life. I studied literature at university, graduating with a first-class degree. After training as a primary school teacher, I spent ten years in different schools helping children achieve their potential and take the next steps in their learning journey.

Stepping out of the classroom, I combined my love of stories with my background as an educator, working in EdTech. Rather than creating resources and content for a single class, I developed online products that reached thousands of children. Writing texts and creating content for early readers through to young teens deepened my understanding of how stories can foster empathy and promote well-being.

Wherever your child is in their reading and writing journey, I can help them discover and nurture their creative spark.

Nic joins me to run our holiday workshops. She is an all-round craft guru who adds sparkles to everything she touches. Trained in Costume Production then explored many creative paths including cake decorating, papercraft and floristry. Currently supporting students in Art and Textiles in a local secondary school.
